What to Expect
1. Free Consultation
We start with a free 15-20 minute consultation over the phone or via video. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, briefly discuss your concerns, and get a sense of how I work. It’s also a chance for us to determine if we’re a good fit before scheduling a full session.
2. Initial Session
In your first session, we’ll dive deeper into your current challenges and explore your background. You’ll share what brought you to therapy, and we’ll discuss your goals and expectations. I’ll explain how the process works, review confidentiality, and address any questions or concerns you have.
3. Assessment Goal & Setting
Over the next session or two, we’ll assess your emotional, mental, and social well-being to understand the root causes of your challenges. Together, we’ll identify specific goals for therapy—whether it’s reducing anxiety, coping with stress, or improving relationships—and outline what success will look like for you.
4. Customized Treatment Plan
Based on your assessment, I’ll develop a personalized treatment plan designed to meet your needs. This may include evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, or trauma-focused techniques. You’ll have input in this process to ensure the plan aligns with your goals.
5. Regular Therapy Sessions
In ongoing sessions, we’ll work consistently toward your goals. You’ll learn practical skills to manage your emotions, cope with stress, and break negative patterns. These sessions will be tailored to your progress, and we’ll adjust the pace as needed to ensure you feel supported and empowered.
6. Progress Evaluation & Adjustments
We’ll regularly review your progress to make sure you’re moving in the right direction. If needed, we’ll adjust your treatment plan and goals to reflect your evolving needs. When you feel ready, we’ll discuss wrapping up therapy, but you’ll always be welcome to return for additional support if needed.
